Calgary 911 service disrupted as a result of fire at Shaw Court Downtown
Wednesday, July 11th, 2012According to Alberta Emergency Alerts, 911 service for upwards of 30,000 Shaw land line customers has been affected by the fire at Shaw Court. The city has also enacted its Emergency Management Plan, with a 311 service disruption.
Fire at Shaw building downtown is affecting multiple services
Wednesday, July 11th, 2012What was originally reported as an expliosion calling a 2 alarm fire has been assessed as a small fire in the Shaw building. It is having a big impact on services. EMS says 911 is still working, but their in-ambulance computers are dowm. Paramedics are taking patients to the closest hospitals. Other outages the public may notice include, Internet, TV, and all radio stations broadcasting from the building are off the air. Calgary’s 311 line, and Calgary Transit are both experiences phone outages. There are no reports of injuries. July 11, 2012
