Another year has come and gone and hopes for a more prosperous 2009 are looming in the air. There is some promising news you: the average price in Calgary communities have not dropped so dramatically over the past year as once thought. In fact, Calgary’s average price only decreased by 2.6% over the previous year (2007 average was $472,230 and 2008 average price finished at $460,327) ,a far cry from the speculated “doom and gloom” that so many predicted. It is true that there is a higher amount of inventory for buyers to choose from, and a reduced amount of sales, but that is rather consistent of the season on an annual basis. However, since January 1st 2009, sales have been on the rise and buyers and sellers alike are coming out of the woodwork looking for new real estate opportunities. It may be a good time for you to reap the benefits of the same opportunities!
